MATERIAL & PROCESS ENGINEER - FOCUS ON METALS (f/m/d)

Do you want to actively develop materials and manufacturing processes and work at the interface between engineering, production, and quality? Your main focus is on metals. You are interested in the CNC machining of metal and composite components, as well as the associated manufacturing and quality-related challenges – including process verification for production release of space and motorsport systems.

YOUR MISSION

 

  • Materials and Process Development:
    • Planning, execution, and documentation of experiments;

      development and qualification of materials and processes;

      evaluation of new technologies; focus on documentation and process verification (CNC, metals, and composites)

  • Manufacturing Support & Technical Expertise:
    • Technical support for engineering, production, and quality;

      optimization of machining, welding, and surface processes; introduction

      of NDT methods; evaluation of CNC strategies (quality, stability, cost)

  • Failure Analysis & Process Reliability:
    • Root cause analysis, troubleshooting, measures for corrosion protection,

      cleanliness, and quality assurance

  • Development & Project Activities:
    • Component optimization with regard to manufacturability; participation in development projects including cost considerations

  • Quality, Standards & Documentation:
    • Ensuring compliance with standards and specifications; technical documentation;

      support in deviation management

 

YOUR PROFILE

 

  • Degree in engineering (e.g. materials science, mechanical engineering) or a comparable field
  • Experience with materials, manufacturing processes, or process development,
    ideally in a regulated environment
  • Knowledge of materials characterization, process qualification, and documentation
  • CNC know-how:
    • Experience in milling/turning (metals/composites)
    • CAM knowledge and understanding of machining processes, tools, and cutting parameters
    • Experience with measurement and inspection equipment as well as GPS/GD&T
    • Optional: automation and basic NC programming knowledge
  • Understanding of standards and quality requirements
  • Structured, analytical working style and strong teamwork skills
  • Very good German and English skills

Based on your education, qualifications, and professional experience, we offer you an attractive, market-competitive salary. This ranges between EUR 42,000.00,- and EUR 70,000.00,- gross per year on a full-time basis.
